As you may have seen in the Sutton Guardian, Home Group have submitted a new planning application to demolish and develop Victoria House in North Cheam.
Their previous planning application was withdrawn after significant opposition from residents to the designs. They have therefore distributedĀ this letter to residents detailing their new plans for the site.
Once the planning application has been verified, residents will be able to register their opinion on the plans here.
Following several weeks of consultation, the application will come before councillors on the Planning Committee at Sutton Council to vote on.
Not enough parking spaces for the number of homes, 50 spaces for 90 homes? And why the need for 150 bicycle places? The parking situation needs revising otherwise the surrounding areas, already full with parked cars, are just going to become more of a problem both to householders and the environment.
Anything is better than that eye sore there already! The quickly it’s down the better!!
That’s exactly what they want to hear. Then they get their own way regardless š
I agree anything would look better than what’s there plus more parking spaces are needed. When I’ve raised this in the past I was told not every home owner has a car and it is to encourage people to use public transport! You only have to glance down the surrounding roads and most houses have at least one car, there’s hardly enough spaces for residents with a leisure centre, gp centre that no one seems to be able to get to without driving. We will have to double stack cars soon!
